Omicron Delta and water.org
In the last two years, Omicron Delta has raised nearly $5000 to help end the water crisis. During the year, Omicron Delta hosts "Walk for Water" events that go along with education conferences. The chapter has walked in many locations such as Indianapolis, Savannah, Chicago, San Francisco, St Louis, and Las Vegas. Indianapolis, IN will be the next location for this event on October 28, 2017. .
The 2017 - 2018 campaign has begun! The goal is to match or beat the 2016-2017 campaign and raise more than $1500. Donations may be made online, directly to chapter's water.org campaign. Members of the Omicron Delta chapter will be completing a walk to raise awareness for water.org. in October, 2017 - Indianapolis, Indiana. Members attending the STTI Biennial Convention as well as local members in the Indianapolis area are invited to attend.

What is H2Omicron Delta?
The Omicron Delta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, International created H2Omicron Delta, a service initiative for the promotion of access to clean water worldwide. The chapter launched this campaign with an initial service activity to support www.water.org. H2Omicron Delta, is designed to raise awareness of the need for access to clean water worldwide. Water facts according to www.water.org: Every day women in third world countries walk an average of 3.4 miles to collect clean water for the family’s needs.
Angie Strawn, President-Elect states that “every 20 seconds a child dies from water-related disease” and in efforts to live out our mission, we will work to reduce this tragedy” (Water Facts, water.org).
